The Orange Knowledge Programme or Orange Knowledge Program is aimed at providing scholarships to mid-career professionals in eligible countries.

The dream of every students is usually to attain the highest degree possible in his/her academic life, but the reverse is always the case for most African students who certainly seem to have the zeal, and desire for a successful career; but usually find themselves stuck (in one way or the other) as a result of lack of sponsorship during their academic life.

However, the Orange Knowledge Program is an initiative aimed at providing financial supports to talented individuals who are passionate about their career.

What is Orange Knowledge Programme?

The Orange Knowledge Programme focus solely to advance the development of quality and knowledge couple with the capacity of both organisations as well as individuals both in the field of vocational and higher education and in other disciplines related to the priority themes in the programme countries.

Orange Knowledge Programme Scholarships

One of the most important thing offered by the Orange Knowledge Programme are the individual scholarships, which are open to mid-career students who are citizens of -and living and working in any of the African country.

NOTE: These scholarships are also open for applicants from francophone countries and regions across Africa.

The Orange Knowledge Programme scholarships are available for a selection of:

  • Short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months);
  • Master’s programmes (duration 12 – 24 months).

Eligible Courses

Applicants should note that all the major courses are eligible for the Orange Knowledge Programme scholarship.

Application

The application process for Orange Knowledge Programme scholarship is handled and decided by the Dutch education institution.

Dates and Deadlines

Application deadline varies depending upon each of the institution. However, there are currently 3 rounds for every individual scholarships in 2019. The current application round opened on 7 February.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Application deadlines differ per institution. After selecting a course, you should have to contact the Dutch institution authority directly for more information as regard the application deadline.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Provisional opening for other application rounds will be 6 June 2019 and 5 September 2019.

For the current application round there is extra budget for Masters and Short courses for applicants of Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestinian Territories, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mali, Nigeria and Niger.

STEP 2. Dutch institution nominates candidates and submits grant application

STEP 3. Embassies check eligibility and assess applications

STEP 4. Selection results published

STEP 5. Grants awarded
